Avoid Stroke with Aspirin

Gender differences appeared to take a different impact on the use of a drug. For example, that aspirin can protect a woman's stroke, but not to avoid the risk of heart attack affected. Suggestions of use of aspirin for women presented by Dr. Paul Ridker.

Benefits of aspirin are able to protect a woman's risk of stroke, in fact can not be used on the type of their opponent, the man. While aspirin is recommended by many doctors to be used on men, women and people with heart disease.

Doctors from Harvard Medical School, as well as researchers from `Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston` reminded that this is very dangerous to generalize on the impact of the use of aspirin in men and women. "We already know the answers to that issue."

Studies carried out by `The Women's Health Study` before doing the test on the use of aspirin and vitamin E in women. The results of vitamin E does not provide a solution that both supplements for women because it is not enough help, but even harmful.

Nearly 40,000 women aged 45 years has been to get as much as 100 milligrams of aspirin was given in random order. After 10 years of aspirin users showed that they have the opportunity 17% lower stroke affected most likely because aspirin is able to prevent the occurrence of thrombosis.

Suspected stroke occurs because the flow of blood to the brain is not smooth because of thrombosis. While women aged over 65 years have a higher benefit with aspirin consumed where they can be exposed to the risk of stroke to 34%. Other important note is the protection of aspirin can effectively occur in the female non-smokers and former smokers.

However, this benefit does not apply to women who use hormones after the menopause period. Results of research that Dr. Paul is very good because the women have a greater chance of stroke rather than infected heart attack, a different thing going on the man who has exposed a high risk of stroke rather than heart attacks.
